BALTIMORE (WBFF) The holiday season is a time for family but it's also a time for giving back.
On Sunday, 200 volunteers were on hand to make sure others have a Happy Holiday.
The group "Building our Nation's Daughters" (BOND) held its fifth annual Thanksgiving Drive.
The group gives out baskets to single parent families. FOX45 spoke to the founder who says by giving a meal, you're giving families an opportunity.
Ateira Griffin says, "This is the foundation of what makes a family strong. Because we are providing the food, we give mom a chance to think about what it is she actually wants to learn about her child. We also give the child a chance to just enjoy their parent."
Those baskets are delivered to the families. Over 200 people received them this year.
